Chasing the Fairy

 I ran out of the house because I could hear soft giggling in the woods. They all said to beware,for it meant the fae were out to play. But that was the entire point! My favorite little fairy was near and I was going to join her for some magical times within the sparkling lights during the twilight hours before night fell. A magical time that very few were allowed to enjoy, time was meaningless in their realm but I danced with happiness, there was no where I would rather be. 

The lamp with mysterious origins glowed ethereally beneath the light of the moon as she shined her light down upon her magical children. Crossing the veil only during certain times of year, I had so missed them while they were away! One in particular, a child like fae creature who happened to be my favorite childhood friend, ran out to greet me. With a squeal, I gathered her into a big hug and greeted the others with a huge smile.

Picking her up, we spun around and she laughed as I tipped her upside down with the other fairies looking on with amusement. I felt young again and carefree, nothing could stop us now while chasing our dreams!

We paused to listen to the elder fairies spin a tale of woe and hope for all creatures large and small. Standing reverently with our hands folded, not even the flutter of a wing could be heard. Aerwen looked so pretty in her new spring dress, she even had a matching doll to bring along and show me. I was too big for dolls, I realized, but I smiled warmly and gave it a kiss on the brow.

If I didn't know how old she could be, though only the fairies knew for sure, I would swear my little friend was yet a child. But here she was, a fairy princess, standing proud with her wand and dolly. In their world, time passes by much slower than in ours, and so our hundreds of years could mean but a year to them. It was no wonder I had aged in my human body faster than she had in her fae.

The pretty shoes that I am wearing are called Bobbie Ballerina Black for Slink flat feet by Wiccan Wears. These are a prize in the World At Your Feet Hunt 2 June 1-30.

A Lady and her Farm

What a wonderful spring morning! Lady Claudia woke up in a fantastic mood and put on a special dress for today she was going to visit the market at the castle. It had been a year since her husband had passed away and her cousin, the queen wanted to see how she was managing without him. So far, she was doing alright, she still had one of the big sows, a donkey and a cow. Of course she lived near the water so they always had fish to eat and chickens around as well. Soon, the crops would be ready to harvest and store for the winter. 

With beautiful skin touched lightly by the sun, shimmering strands of hair and exotic eyes, each a different color, she was no ordinary girl from the farm. She had higher dreams of marrying well and rising in station. This market adventure would get her face seen and hopefully noticed by a Lord or even a knight.

Sn@tch designed the lovely Fairie Queen Hair for the Twisted Fairytales Summer Sale and Hunt June 1-30. Another event that is raising money for Relay for Life. This hair is available in several great color pack choices or even in an all color hair pack.

Banana Banshee created these great new Neko eyes which include applier huds for Lelutka, Catwa, Omega/ Genesis ( including bento eyes), and a pair of scripted mesh eyes. You can even texture these eyes separately for a great feral look. These are on sale at Lost & Found  May 22nd – June 18th)

 She was the boast of the Lady's lands with her green thumb that exceeded all others when it came to growing crops and herbs, such as the ones she lovingly grew by her kitchen to easily access for those delectible dishes all traveled from near and far to enjoy.

Wearing her best dress in a deep lavender, a flower among ladies, even the butterflies thought so as they landed on her to created a natural crown. Some whispered it was unnatural how living things were drawn to her, but others argued back it was because of her pure soul and creatures great and small could sense safety in her.

It's My Party or Maybe Not

The young princess was so excited! Today would be the day that the suitors would be here to call, provided they passed the first screening by her father, the King. She was dressed in a pretty new gown, and long hair fell loosely down her back in the style of a maiden.

Beside the garden platform which she spent much of her time, was her favorite willow tree. Sometimes she would pretend to speak to the tree, confiding all her secret dreams to her dearest friend. Today, for the occasion, she gave Willow a place of honor, setting up a table and chairs so she could entertain her guests with a lovely cup of tea and conversation.

 She had the flaming red hair of her ancestors, the Welsh "Dragon" line that she descended from, and deep blue eyes the color of the seas. Fair skin which was flawless bespoke her beauty that few have ever looked upon, as she had grown up sheltered within her father's gardens. But! Today was the day she would meet with someone from the outside world, a world she couldn't wait to explore!

Blues. had this fantastic hair out for 50L Fridays called, Kamille. It is a long style with a ponytail gathered up at the top. Great for casual romantic times. )

Her ladies had taken extra special care in painting her long nails this morning to match the new dress she wore for this occasion. Split pinks with flowers to decorate them, adding the perfect feminine touch.

One of her ladies in waiting rushed out with a baby dragon, the favorite of the Princess, hoping to give her some comfort as her pretty bottom lip began to tremble with frustration. Damini, her baby lightening dragon snuggled into her arms and gazed about with those deep purple eyes.

She started to get really upset and with a sigh, settled down upon the pretty blanket she had spread out in the shade of the tree. It appeared that once again, there were going to be no suitors fit for her hand, as far as her father was concerned and another year would be spent here in the beautiful but lonely seaside gardens of the castle. So much care had been given to the dress she had commissioned from the seamstress, all the way to the imported laces and patterns within the cloth.

Of course, marking her wrist as was required by the King, her father, was an amulet about her wrist with a symbol for the sign of her birth and a pretty turquoise stone to pretty it up.

Around her neck and dangling from her ears,  sparkled the beautiful amethyst and silver jewelry hand chosen this morning to match the gown. It complimented the coloring of her delicate visage. All in all she was captivating.

But even the gentle princess had a dark side as she turned from the view of the others, a small but evil smile spread across her face. She had already began to plot and plan her escape to freedom, boy, wouldn't her daddy be surprised!

The Lady of the Estate

It was a beautiful day at Lady Sionnach's seaside estate. The harvest of grains had been gathered into simple yet well made pots and looked fantastic, ready for market. She even received a new dress from the town seamstress, which she hurried to put on. It was beautiful, with hues of rich blue and gold. She felt so wonderful, that she even had a servant gather her some flowers to make a lovely circlet to wear upon her head.

 The home she lived in was simple yet elegant in it's design. An arbor building, which could also be used as a wonderful garden. She would come here to her special place when the clouds of her home cities became too thick and rain would drizzle down. Here, where the sun was constant, she could enjoy herself a bit and refresh her mind before returning to the duties of court.

Simple yet elegant furnishings decorated the home, a simple iron sofa with well crafted cushions to sit upon and a matching table where she relaxed and enjoyed her meals.

She had loved once, deeply, and the helm of her fallen warrior sat reverently upon the table. Woah to any who dared to touch it, for the Lady's temper was quick and fierce when it involved a loved one or memories of them.

In the single bedroom of the building, she had placed a bed which matched the couch. Also made with beautiful decorative ironwork, the bedding was in soft hues, and a canopy blocked out the rays of the run when she wanted to sleep in a bit. Bit, fluffy pillows filled with goose down and a coverlet embroidered with talented hands, always helped her sleep well.

 Awaiting shipment to market were the well made pots full of grains. They would bring in a rich bounty to her estate funds, something many of the nobles looked upon in envy. Even a few plotting to marry the Lady and thus assume her estate. But she would have none of it, she would decide when she would marry again and until then, the nobles were out of luck. The harder they tried, the more she felt disdain for them.

The nobles were not just after her estate (well some of them weren't), but tales of her beauty traveled across the land. With soft, flawless pale skin kissed by her time in the sun, soft pouty lips, and well rounded face. She was the talk of the men and envy of the women. Many adored her and just as many despised her.

 Some called her a sorceress, others knew her as a shrewd and talented business woman. But what fed the rumors the most were her dazzling eyes in two different hues. With an uncommon color in one, the rumor mongers were sure she had been touched by magic.

 She absolutely loved the new dress, with beautiful designs embroidered into the cloth, and a lovely gather across the top of her thighs. The circlet of peony roses upon her head.  She felt fantastic and it showed as she danced about under the sun's rays.

 Worn about her neck was a hint of what the rumors could also be fed by. A gift from an old woman upon the death of her knight. This bottle of mana hung upon a leather string about her slender neck. To be opened only in a time of dire need, it remained safely and cherished upon her person.

Nails filed into sharp claws for her own protection, were decorated with lovely designs by a talented artist within the town. Not a common sight in these times, they also drew interest by the rumor mongers.

A unique chandelier decorated her home, with wax candles flickering their yellow light in the house. This special fixture had been created by her father and passed down to each son, until reaching her, the only daughter. Each of the swords of a family member added when they passed onto the next realm. Her own beloved's sword added amongst them.

A picture framed rests upon the wall of her summer home, depicting the home she shared with her beloved. In a different time, a fairytale romance that ended with the stab of a pike. But the memories of a happier time were remembered when she looked at it, so she insisted it was wherever she was in residence at the time.
