Remember Me This Way

The sun sets upon the horizon and I quietly tend to the meal which was your favorite during your time with us. I can feel the energy in the air around us, a magical property that brings a shiver down my spine. And then, I look up and there you were, a gentle spirit who is always near watching over us, shimmering in the night, a translucent form of what you once looked like. The veil has becom thin as Samhain begins.  In the distant building, an ethereal tune begins to play and it is like you were never gone as we laugh and dance and enjoy this night when we can smile and relive those memories with a smile. 

The dream ends and I awaken in my own bed, smiling at the images still imprinted on my mind. This time of year one is of my favorites and the planning for festivities soon upon is begin to form in my mind.
