Middle of Nowhere

Sunny but snowy day, enjoying the shimmering of the white snow upon the ground, I chanced upon a place where people lived in treehouses. I wondered to myself who they might be, were their friendly or hostile? I decided to offer up a toast to an ingenious idea and wish them happiness in the New Year, before heading off on my way to explore some more.
